The Pillar is a public sculpture that pays tribute to the date palm, one of the most essential resources in the development of Saudi society, historically used in the construction of homes, the making of tools, and countless aspects of daily life. Formed as an obelisk inspired by the palm trunk, the work features a parametrically designed computational pattern of triangular geometries referencing the architectural language of historic Diriyah and the origins of the Saudi state.

الركيزة هو عمل فني عام يحتفي بالنخلة باعتبارها أحد أهم الموارد التي اعتمد عليها المجتمع السعودي تاريخياً في بناء المساكن وصناعة الأدوات وتلبية متطلبات الحياة اليومية. تأتي المنحوتة على هيئة مسلة مستوحاة من جذع النخلة، وتتميز بنمط حاسوبي بارامتري من التكوينات المثلثية يستلهم اللغة المعمارية للدرعية التاريخية وبدايات الدولة السعودية.
